As a boy my dad was always taking photos of our family and the world around us.
This was at a time when taking photos was not as common as it is today. I loved to watch as he would look down into his Kodak Reflex II camera and take the photos.
When I got a little older, he showed me the process of printing a black and white photograph in the darkroom. To see an image appear once the paper was put into the chemicals was magic! I was amazed and forever hooked.
I got my first camera when I was about ten years old. It was a Kodak 110 Insta-Matic. Ever since that time, I have been trying to capture the world as I see it. The ability to close one eye and see how a photo would be framed in the camera also fascinates me. Although the devices to capture an image have changed over time, I believe I have been able to adapt and refine what my eye sees to create even better images.
